“everydaywanders: Experiment. Learn how the different tools behave and what you...”
– This is so true. No tutorial, cheat-sheet or how-to can beat experimenting by yourself. (Although it can be very useful and inspiring to learn techniques from others).

czannon replied to your photo: I really, really like the Pogo Connect. But this… does it break easily? Or is it just the rubber nib that fall apart easily! btw I’m dying for a pogo connect and I’m searching the best way to order it from Brazil. I think it’s funny that none of my Linkedin connections endorses my drawing skills. So either they don’t know me or they think I can’t draw. Perhaps I should all delete them :D

Guessing new features
I’m trying to guess which new features (if any) FiftyThree will add to Paper, in their next update (whenever that will be): improved watercolor, eraser and rewind ==> improving strengths new kind of artists’ paint tool (oil/acrylic or gouache, maybe markers) blur and color picker tool option to use an existing Paper drawing a background layer ==> aimed at professional users option to...

amyblogschow replied to your photo: Quick robot sketch, while taking a break from… Why are you studying animal anatomy? For a class, for pleasure? For fun (I only draw for fun - nothing professional), but I hope it improves my skills a bit. I think that when you know more about anatomy, you can observe and draw animals better, or invent completely new creatures. :)

widnew73 asked: Thank you so much for the awesome Paper53 Cheat Sheets PDF! I was wondering, do you have any techniques or tips for creating landscapes with Paper? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to create decent looking atmospheric perspective. Specifically, layers of mountains: cool & faint in the distance to a warmer & more detailed foreground. Also, what about creating a smooth...

For what tools, techniques, tricks or subjects (using 53’s Paper) would you like to see a (video)-tutorial? Just reply, reblog or ask, and I’ll give it a go. Maybe (hopefully) others will try to make a tutorial too, to show their approach.

ellisnadler replied to your photo: Some watercolor tricks, and a detailed comparison… I bought a Pogo Connect but hardly worked on iPad mini, so sent it back. I’m hoping for Wacom to solve the pressure problem once and for all To be fair, Pogo says on their website that the Pogo Connect only supports iPad 3rd and 4th generation.

thekaizenpixel: You mean gouache ;)
me: yes, because that's always opaque, but others might want something more like oil or acrylic paint :)
georgp: Would you want the edge to blur/feather or smudge?
me: I'd think a soft, semi-transparent edge would be great, so I guess that's more blur than smudge. But others might prefer a smudge wet-in-wet kind of edge.
